Assessment and therapy, tailored to each child

I work with a broad range of language, speech and communication difficulties — for children and adults. Every plan begins with a thorough assessment and adapts to your goals.

My services

Language disorders

When understanding or using language isn’t developing as expected for the child’s age — either in what the child understands (receptive language) or in how they express themselves (expressive language).

  • A limited vocabulary or trouble finding the right word
  • Short, incomplete sentences or grammatical errors
  • Difficulty following instructions or answering questions
  • Developmental language disorder (DLD)

Speech disorders

When the child knows what they want to say, but the sounds don’t come out clearly or correctly.

  • Substituting or omitting sounds (e.g. “t” instead of “k”)
  • Dysarthria — weak or hard-to-control articulation
  • Verbal apraxia — difficulty planning speech movements
  • Speech that’s hard for people outside the family to understand

Fluency disorders

When the flow of speech is interrupted in a way that makes communication harder or creates tension for the child.

  • Stuttering — repetitions, prolongations or blocks
  • Cluttering — very fast or irregular speech
  • Tension or avoidance of speaking in social moments
  • Techniques for more comfortable, flowing speech

Communication on the autism spectrum

Strengthening social and verbal communication, with respect for each child’s own pace and way of being.

  • Eye contact, joint attention and turn-taking
  • Functional communication — words, cards or alternative means
  • Understanding and expressing emotions
  • Close cooperation with the family and the school

Chewing & swallowing

Dysphagia in infants, children and adults — safe feeding with gradual, personalised techniques.

  • Difficulty or choking during feeding
  • Selectiveness with textures or refusing foods
  • Support in the transition to solid foods
  • Swallowing safety after a neurological event

Developmental disorders

Support for syndromes and developmental delays, with goals tailored to each child.

  • Language delay in genetic or developmental syndromes
  • Intellectual disability and learning difficulties
  • Early intervention for infants and toddlers
  • Cooperation with the paediatrician, occupational therapist and school
For adults too

Speech therapy at any age

The practice isn’t only for children. After a stroke or neurological event, I support adults in regaining their communication and safe swallowing, at a pace that respects each person’s recovery.

The assessment shapes the plan — there’s no “one-size-fits-all” therapy.
